Sorentberg-Give the Vineyard a Name

The recultivation work in the spectacular cross-border replanting project SORENTBERG is entering another exciting phase after 7 years.
The most famous Mosel vineyards all bear their names in large letters, our Sorentberg not yet, we want to change that now.
A large SORENTBERG lettering should give our mountain its identity so that you can see from a distance which particular vineyard you encounter here.
Because the Sorentberg is one of the most unusual top locations of the whole Mosel valey.
Its terroir is an interplay of many factors that result in a remarkable whole here:
-100 % south slope.
– extreme gradient with an average gradient of 80 to 110 percent
– cool climate, because the mountain lies in a well ventilated side valley at the Mosel river
– unique soil type, the so-called Wissenbach slate (red slate with shell inclusions), which is unique on the whole Moselle
